Makatib - A Necessary institution

Islamic education is concerned not only with the instruction and training of the mind and the transmission of knowledge (ta`lim) but also with the education of the whole being of men and women (tarbiyah). The teacher is therefore not only a muallim, a 'transmitter of knowledge' but also a murabbi, a 'trainer of souls and personalities'. "The Islamic educational system never divorced the training of the mind from that of the soul." Islamic education ideally aims to provide a milieu for the total and balanced development of every student in every sphere of learning - spiritual, moral, imaginative, intellectual, cultural, aesthetic, emotional and physical - directing all these aspects towards the attainment of a conscious relationship with God, the ultimate purpose of man's life on earth

The greatest investment that any community can make is to invest in their children. Our children are our future. If we invest in today’s children and develop them into people who are firm in their Imaan, who cherish human values much more than material wealth, who honour their parents and their elders and are generally an asset to society at large, then such an investment will earn tremendous returns and benefits for the entire Ummah.

The Maktab has always played a pivotal role in developing the children of the Ummah. By and large it is at the Maktab that the child is equipped with all the basics of Deen, the fundamentals that enable him to live and practice as a true Mu’min (believer).

In many communities where no Maktab education was provided, children grow up without any knowledge of even the fundamentals of Islaam. They are unable fulfil any of the tenets of deen nor do they have the correct aqaaid (beliefs). The Maktab education is essential in the life of every child so that he may become an upright Muslim.

The AlAnsaar Welfare Foundation is also primarily focused towards establishing makaatib in order to help in providing this essential need of the Ummah. Your duas for the acceptance of this humble effort is requested.

The First Post

Introduction
A New Beginning
Life is full of uncertainties yet one aspect is absolute i.e. change is a constant.
We live in an ever-changing world where change takes place at a dizzying speed. Coupled with the lighting speed of the cyber world changes are transmitted all over the globe in minutes.
These continuous changes are responses to dynamics played out on the planet such as politics, economics, social, etc and waits for no man.
Those that resist it are overtaken whilst those that embrace it welcome it as new challenges and new beginnings.
The Respected Professor Yawar Baig very aptly stated,
“Those who ignore change, will perish-
Those who adapt to change, will survive-
Those who anticipate change, will prosper –
And those who influence change, will transform”
Oct 3 2009, Saturday we started to realize that Allah has different plans for our area, the raining didn’t stop, and Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers which are at the two ends of the Raichur, became full and floods and the devastation....all is an unforgettable history now. Fortunately a team of people saw that we need to do something for our people at this moment, and tried to get working people for that. Alhamdulillah, help came from all the ways, at that time the only way connected by road...relief came in the form of Anjuman Dawat-o-Islah Bangalore, Jamiat-Ulama-Karnataka and different organizations with different things...So we formed an abstract team which helped those who were coming with relief and joined them in relief efforts. There were lot of places (like PanBichchal on the shores of Tungabhadra river) where we were the first ones to get some food and water to the people.  Our Team Members Travelled Whole district in the relief efforts, and tried to do as much as possible from our side, that we could do. This was all very urgent and very un-organized, but Allah took the job from us. Here we found the need of a Welfare Organization which would address this type of needs timely and in an organized manner, and other community based works that should be addressed which would help the needy people. We  did mashwara with different people who were already doing this kind of work and with their help we decided to form a Welfare Foundation which was named

 “Al – Ansaar Welfare Foundation”

Based out in Raichur, We are happy to announce that we already have started our works without waiting for a moment also, as the requirements (Taqaza’s) are so much that we are running out of time and resources too, but we are trying as much as possible to cater all that we can with Allah’s help.
