Kindness Pays - A good example

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was
hungry.

He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost
his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"

"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to
accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from my
heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically,
but his faith in God was strong also. He had been ready to give
up and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors
were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in
specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in
for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he we nt in to see her. He recognized her
at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best
to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the
business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked
at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room.
She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her
life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught; her
attention on the side as She read these words.....

"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

Kindness - The Neglected Chapter

A long time ago, in a land far, far away, there lived an old woman who was carrying a heavy load along the road in the desert. It was a bit difficult for her, but she was managing as best as she could. A young man asked if he could help her with her load, and she readily obliged. Here is the conversation that transpired:
“It would be such a pleasure to have you come alone with me. I accept your gracious offer of kindness and company,” she said. She was a very talkative woman, and the young man did not want to interrupt her. So, he let her speak the entire time they were together without interruption:
“But as we walk along young man and as you help me with my load, I have only one request as we travel down this road: Don’t talk to me about Muhammad! Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind. So, don’t talk to me about Muhammad! And as we walk along together, we will get along just fine.”
She continued:
“That man upsets me so, so much more than you could know! I hear of his name and reputation every where I go. Though his family and his clan once knew him as an honest man, he’s dividing everyone with his claim that God is one!”
“He’s misled all the weak, the poor, and the slaves. They think they’ve all found wealth and freedom by following his way!” she sarcastically snorted.
“He’s corrupted all of our youth with his twisted brand of truth. He’s convinced them that they all are strong and gave them somewhere to belong. So, don’t you dare talk to me about Muhammad!”
They reached their destination, and the man helped the woman put away her belongings. The old woman, with a wide smile of gratitude at this stranger’s kindness, turned to him and said, “Thank you now, young man. You’ve really been so kind. That generosity and smile is very rare to find now a days. Let me give you some advice, since you’ve been so very nice to me. Stay away from Muhammad. Don’t heed his word or emulate his way. If you do, you will never have true peace, and all you will find is trouble.”
As the young man turned to walk away, she stopped him: “Now before we part and go, if it’s alright just the same, may I ask my dear young man, who are you? What’s your name?”
He told her, and she stopped dead in her tracks.
“Forgive me, but what was that? Your words weren’t very clear. My ears are getting old, and sometimes I have a hard time hearing. You know, it’s truly rather funny, but I’m sure I must be wrong. Yet, I thought I heard you said that your name is Muhammad.”
“I am Muhammad,” the Prophet (peace be upon him) told the old woman.
She replied, “I bear witness there is nothing worthy of worship except God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God.”
This conversation was based upon a hadith in the Prophetic literature
This story never ceases to amaze anyone. The Prophet (pbuh) offered to help this woman, and all she does throughout their encounter is to mock and malign the Prophet (pbuh). Yet, he says nothing. He continues to help the woman with her load. He does not lash back at her; he does not pray for God’s destruction upon her; he does not drop her stuff and let her fend for herself. No. He helps the woman anyway, and when she finds out who he is, all she could do was follow him into Islam.
Yet, the fact that she became Muslim is one of the most important aspects of this story.
It was the Prophet’s character that amazes the most. It is this aspect of the Prophet’s sunnah that many of us have completely neglected.
May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la guide us in developing “Akhlaq” that pleases him by following  in the foot steps of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad SAWS.

Pair of Old Shoes

A young man, a student in one of the universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students’ friend for his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.
As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which were supposed to belong to a poor man who was working in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day’s work…
Student turned to the professor, saying:
“Let us play the man a trick, we will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them …”
“My young friend,” answered the professor, “We should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor… But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of this poor man. Put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how this affects him..”
The student did so and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by. The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes…
While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes, but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin. Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance.
He gazed upon the coin, turned it around and looked at it again and again.
He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen. He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin…
His feelings overcame him…
He fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom this timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing…
The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears.
“Now,” said the professor, are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?”
The youth replied, “You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. .. I feel now the truth of these words, which I never understood before: “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.”
If you want happiness… .For a lifetime – help someone..

Quotes / Sayings / Ashaar to Remember

Insan Mout Se Bachne Ki Koshish Karta Hai Jahannum Se Nahi,
Haalaanke Koshish Karne Se Insan Jahannum Se Bach Sakta Hai Lekin Mout Se Nahi !!

Life is an eternal quest about knowing oneself. It's time to challenge yourself, to rediscover your hidden traits, talents, and tendencies.

وقت فرصت ہے کہاں کام ابھی باقی ہے
نور   توحید  کا   اتمام   ابھی  باقی  ہے

Waqt fursat hai kahan kaam abhi baaki hai
Noor o hidayat ka itmaam abhi baaki hai

مرنا تو اس جہاں میں کوئی حادثہ نہیں
اس دور ناگوار میں جینا کمال ہے

Marna to is jahan me koi haadisa nahin
is dour-e-naagawaar me jeena kamaal hai

Allam iqbal says:

"I tell you the sign of a believer, when death comes, there is a smile on his lips."

He further says:

"People who have no hold over their process of thinking are likely to be ruined by liberty of thought. If thought is immature liberty of thought becomes a method of converting men into animals."
(** Here we know how important is the thought process is, and how important is to have a focused thinking or one can say a controlled(according to islam) thinking)

With the help of Anjuman Dawat-o-Islah, Bismillah nagar Bangalore, we were able to distribute dresses to kids of 3 Maktabs(Devatkal, Ganekal and Ganadhal) alhamdulillah. Mufti Ifteqar Sahab, President Jamiat Ulama Karnataka's presence in this Safar with two other ulama's of  Gulbarga and Mufti Kaleem of Raichur and Mufti Yunus of Lingasugur was the greatest appreciation for our efforts (I pray that Allah accepts our humble efforts). There was a awareness program conducted in Hutti which was very much successful with huge crowd listening to Mufti Sahab. You can see how happy the Maktab students by wearing the dresses. Mufti Sahab took test of some students in Devatkal and felt happy about the tajweed of the Quran and the efforts made towards that. The Event is continued on Monday with Survey of Lingasugur's Mudgal and near by villages where Qadiyani's are present so that we can put our continuing efforts over there. I thank (Jazakallahu khair wa ahsanal Jaza) all those who are supporting this cause and pray to Allah that he give istaqamat in doing so.

With Humble request for Prayers....
