Pair of Old Shoes

A young man, a student in one of the universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students’ friend for his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which were supposed to belong to a poor man who was working in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day’s work…
Student turned to the professor, saying:

“Let us play the man a trick, we will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them …”

“My young friend,” answered the professor, “We should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor… But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of this poor man. Put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how this affects him..”

The student did so and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by. The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes…

While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes, but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin. Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance.

He gazed upon the coin, turned it around and looked at it again and again.
He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen. He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin…

His feelings overcame him…

He fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom this timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing…

The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears.
“Now,” said the professor, are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?”

The youth replied, “You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. .. I feel now the truth of these words, which I never understood before: “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.”

Event: Khatna Camp in Lingasugur on Monday April 11, 2011

We were able to successfully do a Khatna Camp in Lingasugur Alhamdulillah.
In around More than 200 application coupons 150 of them were accepted and Khatna performed for the same.

The reactions or comments from the local people are below:

Dr. Shiv Basappa: Very Great, I didn’t see something like this before. He appreciated the Cleanliness and Neatness maintained in the process.

JE Abid Ali  : We didn’t think you people can do this work so well and so organized way.

Lal Ahmed Sab (Vice – president  Lingsugur Muslim Tanzeem) – Your work was so good and very fast and it was great effort from you people that was never expected.

Thanks to Auto Association President Rustum bhai he gave free service of autos to carry to and fro to the homes of the people.

Rafi bhai (Former municipal chairman) – You should have told me earlier that you people can do such a good work. 

Thanks to Rafi bhai, as he saw that there is a need of water in the premises and he arranged water for the people.

Jazakallah for All the help to one and all involved in this, may Allah reward us for whatever has been done with humble intentions.

 

Event: Khatna Camp in Sirwar on Sunday April 10, 2011

1. This time alhamdulillah, we were able to successfully achieve a number of 130 Khatna's.
2. There were 160 tokens distributed this time in which 130 people from different nearby villages turned out.
3. These khatna's as we encourage included big kids khatna's too (who cannot be called as kids).
4. Overall it was again proved that we need to continue this here next year.

Allam iqbal says:

Dress Distribution and Awareness come Survey event

With the help of Anjuman Dawat-o-Islah, Bismillah nagar Bangalore, we were able to distribute dresses to kids of 3 Maktabs(Devatkal, Ganekal and Ganadhal) alhamdulillah. Mufti Ifteqar Sahab, President Jamiat Ulama Karnataka's presence in this Safar with two other ulama's of  Gulbarga and Mufti Kaleem of Raichur and Mufti Yunus of Lingasugur was the greatest appreciation for our efforts (I pray that Allah accepts our humble efforts). There was a awareness program conducted in Hutti which was very much successful with huge crowd listening to Mufti Sahab.You can see how happy the Maktab students by wearing the dresses. Mufti Sahab took test of some students in Devatkal and felt happy about the tajweed of the Quran and the efforts made towards that. The Event is continued on Monday with Survey of Lingasugur's Mudgal and near by villages where Qadiyani's are present so that we can put our continuing efforts over there. I thank (Jazakallahu khair wa ahsanal Jaza) all those who are supporting this cause and pray to Allah that he give istaqamat in doing so.

Makatib - A Necessary institution

Islamic education is concerned not only with the instruction and training of the mind and the transmission of knowledge (ta`lim) but also with the education of the whole being of men and women (tarbiyah). The teacher is therefore not only a muallim, a 'transmitter of knowledge' but also a murabbi, a 'trainer of souls and personalities'. "The Islamic educational system never divorced the training of the mind from that of the soul." Islamic education ideally aims to provide a milieu for the total and balanced development of every student in every sphere of learning - spiritual, moral, imaginative, intellectual, cultural, aesthetic, emotional and physical - directing all these aspects towards the attainment of a conscious relationship with God, the ultimate purpose of man's life on earth

The greatest investment that any community can make is to invest in their children. Our children are our future. If we invest in today’s children and develop them into people who are firm in their Imaan, who cherish human values much more than material wealth, who honour their parents and their elders and are generally an asset to society at large, then such an investment will earn tremendous returns and benefits for the entire Ummah.

The Maktab has always played a pivotal role in developing the children of the Ummah. By and large it is at the Maktab that the child is equipped with all the basics of Deen, the fundamentals that enable him to live and practice as a true Mu’min (believer).

In many communities where no Maktab education was provided, children grow up without any knowledge of even the fundamentals of Islaam. They are unable fulfil any of the tenets of deen nor do they have the correct aqaaid (beliefs). The Maktab education is essential in the life of every child so that he may become an upright Muslim.

The AlAnsaar Welfare Foundation is also primarily focused towards establishing makaatib in order to help in providing this essential need of the Ummah. Your duas for the acceptance of this humble effort is requested.

Qurbani Distribution Event - 5th Dec 2010

It was a great effort alhamdulillah, from everyone involved in the event. This event was sponsored by Anjuman Dawat-o-Islah Bangalore. We were able to reach poor people of more than 40 villages, distributing them the meat (of around 2 kgs / packet for one person (38 Qurbani's were done)).

We were able to cover Manvi and Parts of Deodurg in this.
We started at around 6 in morning with all the preparation and could able to complete everything untill Asar (at 5 in the evening) Alhamdulillah.

Jazakallah for those who participated even though they had very tight schedules.
